The Lebanon County Conservation District visited a few local elementary schools this past week and distributed tree seedlings to more than 300 Cornwall-Lebanon School District 4th graders.

LCCD Administrative Assistant Valarie Weaber gave short presentations to each 4th grade class at South Lebanon, Cornwall, and Ebenezer Elementary Schools describing the importance of water and soil conservation and agricultural land preservation in Lebanon County. Each student was given a potted Red Oak to plant at home.

LCCD’s Valarie Weaber visited Cornwall-Lebanon School District elementary schools this week to speak about the importance of conservation.

The outreach was underwritten with proceeds from the Annual Tree and Plant Sale. Since 2017, LCCD has distributed more than 1,500 trees to Lebanon County students.
