Lebanon veterinarian Tammy Stone, VMD and her staff at the Veterinary Medical Center of Lebanon have recently moved to a new 7,000 square foot clinic at 709 Orange Street in Lebanon.
Dr. Stone and her colleagues had been practicing, initially with the late Dr. Sherbyn Ostrich, at 602 Cornwall Road since 2004. Plans for the new building got underway about five years ago.
The extra space not only allows for plenty of conference rooms and kennels, but a dedicated x-ray room and a dedicated dental suite.
VMCL is a small animal and small mammal practice. Small animals are mostly dogs and cats. “Small mammals” are primarily hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, and ferrets.
Since 1997, VMCL has been the only veterinary hospital in Lebanon County that is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association, the only accrediting organization in the United States.
They are also Fear Free Pets certified. “In the old days,” Dr. Stone said, “veterinarians just muzzled lots of scared animals.”
“Now, we concentrate on getting them to be calm and quiet, and to come to us on their terms.”
An Open House is scheduled for Saturday, October 26 from 1pm to 3pm.
Dr. Stone and her colleagues will also conduct a Rabies, Cat Distemper, and Dog Distemper/Parvovirus Clinic on Saturday, September 14 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. The cost per vaccination is $15, cash only. Dogs must be on a leash, cats must be in carriers.
