Two incidents in the City of Lebanon over this weekend both involved firearms.

The City of Lebanon put out releases Sunday night about the dual occurrences.

According to police, the first incident, or more accurately the first series of incidents, occurred early Saturday morning, Jan. 25, when police were dispatched at 1:54 a.m. for a reported home invasion robbery on the 700 block of Glenwood Street. Police were then dispatched at 2:04 a.m. for another reported home invasion robbery on the 500 block of East Cumberland Street, followed by a third at 2:19 a.m. on the 300 block of Chestnut Street.

Police said that the descriptions of suspects matched at all three locations. The suspects were described as two black males and one Hispanic male, according to police interviews of victims. A gun and knife were said to have been displayed during the incidents.

Police said they believe the addresses were specifically targeted and not randomly selected. An undisclosed amount of money was said to have been taken from the Glenwood Street house and East Cumberland street house. Personal property was said to have been taken from the Chestnut Street house. The victims were not injured in the course of the home invasions.

In the second incident, which occurred Sunday, Jan. 26, at 2:05 p.m., police responded to gun shots heard near N. 8th and Lehman Streets. According to the release, police discovered several expanded shell casings from two different caliber firearms, as well as an abandoned vehicle on the 200 block of Gannon Street that had evidence of bullet holes on the body of the vehicle.

Police said that a second vehicle was involved in the incident, described as a black SUV, and that there were no reports of injuries as of the time of the release Sunday night.

The Sunday incident is not known to have a link to the Saturday home invasions.

Police urge the public to contact them with any information about either of these incidents, and said they are actively working leads in an ongoing investigation. The Lebanon City Police Department can be contacted at 717-272-2054 or Crime Stoppers at 717-270-9800.
