While no cases have been reported in Lebanon County, the Lebanon County Department of Emergency Services has started a webpage designed to inform the public of any local impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Affected businesses, agencies, employers, extended care facilities, schools, and faith-based organizations can report changes in their status by visiting https://helpdesk.lcdes.org, emailing covidinfo@lcdes.org, or calling 717-675-1380 during business hours.

LebTown was unable to reach any DES representative for comment prior to publication.

While cases of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, have been reported in other parts of Pennsylvania, none are known in Lebanon County.

Earlier on Thursday, Mar. 12, Governor Wolf ordered the closing of schools, daycare centers, and entertainment venues in Montgomery County in response to a number of confirmed coronavirus cases there. He also recommended that all Pennsylvanians take several voluntarily measures designed to stop the transmission of the virus.
