If you hear rumblings from northern Lebanon County over the next few weekends, worry not – it’s probably just the Gap.

Here’s the training schedule at Fort Indiantown Gap for May 2022.

Demolition training will be held May 1 to May 2 and May 13 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m..

Artillery live-fire training will be held May 1 to May 4 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Mortar live-fire training will be held May 17 to May 21 between 7 a.m. 11 p.m.

Water bucket training will be held May 10 to May 12 and May 17 to May 19 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Helicopter crews will practice by retrieving water from Memorial Lake and dumping it in a nearby field.

Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live-fire and maneuver military base in Pennsylvania. It is considered the nation’s largest National Guard training facility by number of mandays trained – close to one million annually.
