Annville Township

Theft of Motor Vehicle – At 4:22 a.m. July 7, an incident occurred on West Queen Street as two 17-year-old Lebanon males entered a gray 2017 Hyundai Elantra owned by a 23-year-old Annville man and fled the scene in the vehicle. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194. Charges for theft of motor vehicle were filed against the juveniles.

Bethel Township

Identity Theft – At approximately 7:11 p.m. June 27, police responded to the 100 block of Spruce Avenue for identity theft. Police learned that an unknown actor(s) obtained the victim’s personal information to open a credit card in the victim’s name. The actor(s) then used the credit card to purchase $279 worth of an unknown item(s). The victim was a 35-year-old Fredericksburg woman. The investigation is ongoing.

Vehicle Accident, Stop Signs and Yield Signs – At 10:19 a.m. July 1, a crash occurred on South Pine Grove Street (SR 343) at Hain Avenue. A 2012 Subaru Impreza driven by a 63-year-old Harrisburg man was stopped, facing east, at a clearly marked stop sign in the right lane of Hain Avenue. The Subaru proceeded without clearance into the path of a 2014 Dodge Caravan driven by a 75-year-old Lebanon man who was traveling south in the right lane of SR 343. Initial impact occurred as the front bumper of the Subaru struck the rear quarter panel of the Dodge. The Dodge was disabled from the crash and was towed from the scene by Zimmey’s Towing. The Harrisburg man and the Lebanon man were wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries. Police cited the Harrisburg man with stop signs and yield signs.

DUI – At 7:26 p.m. June 21, an incident occurred on the 2200 block of South Pine Grove Street involving a 2022 Chysler Pacifica. Police cited Maurice Edwards 30, of Miami Gardens, Florida, for driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.

Vehicle Accident, Accidents and Accident Reports – At 5:54 p.m. June 20, a crash occurred on Mount Zion Road near Frystown Road. An unknown vehicle driven by an unknown actor was traveling north on Mount Zion Road, approaching an uphill crest in the road. A 2012 Chevrolet Cruze driven by a 20-year-old Lebanon man was traveling south on Mount Zion Road, approaching the same crest, downhill. The unknown vehicle crossed into the opposite travel lane on the crest, striking the Chevrolet, then continued north after impact, fleeing the scene. The Lebanon man was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported on scene and no EMS was required. Blatt & Tillett towed the Chevrolet from the scene. Police cited the unknown actor with accidents and accident reports.

City of Lebanon

Fleeing and Eluding – At 9:07 p.m. June 18, police conducted a traffic stop on a 2021 Toyota Prius driven by Brian Smetana, 54, of Jonestown, on South 2nd and Locust streets for multiple vehicle code violations. Smetana fled the scene on foot but was positively identified. A warrant has been issued for Smetana’s arrest.

Disorderly Conduct – Police cited a 63-year-old Lebanon man with disorderly conduct after an incident at 12:23 a.m. July 10 on the 200 block of South 4th Street.

Public Drunkenness – Police cited a 22-year-old North Cornwall man with public drunkenness after an incident at 12:39 a.m. July 11 on the 900 block of Mifflin Street.

Fireworks Prohibited – Police cited a 43-year-old Augusta, Georgia, man with fireworks prohibited after an incident at 9:02 p.m. July 10 on the 400 block of South 6th Street.

Disorderly Conduct – Police cited a 31-year-old man with disorderly conduct after an incident at 4:30 p.m. July 10 on the 1200 block of Cumberland Street.

Public Drunkenness – Police cited a 59-year-old Lebanon man with public drunkenness at 11:15 p.m. July 8 on the 00 block of North 12th Street.

Simple Assault, Criminal Mischief – Police cited Dane Strangarity, 35, of Lebanon, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) and criminal mischief after an incident at 8:21 p.m. July 10 on the 200 block of East Weidman Street. Strangarity is accused of striking
the 32-year-old victim with a metal bat, causing injury to her arm and elbow. The victim was treated at a local medical facility for the injuries. Strangarity is also accused of damaging her cellphone. Police apprehended Strangarity and transported him to LCCB. Strangarity was arraigned before MDJ Aurelis Figueroa and incarcerated at LCCF with no monetary bail set.

Cleona Borough

Drug Possession – At 2:40 a.m. June 26, police responded to East Penn Avenue and South Cyrus Street. Police found the passenger, a 24-year-old Lebanon man, to be in possession of marijuana. The vehicles involved included a 2011 Toyota Venza. Police are investigating.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle Accident – At 12:20 a.m. July 7, a crash occurred on Allentown Boulevard (SR 22 West), just east of Sealer Creek Road. A 2010 Acura TSX driven by a 56-year-old Harrisburg man was traveling west in the right lane of SR 22 when his front bumper struck a deer. The man was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained no injuries.

Identity Theft – At approximately 4:24 p.m. June 28, police responded to Sherks Church Road for identity theft. Police learned that an unknown actor(s) obtained the victim’s credit card information by unknown means, then used the victim’s information to purchase $1,028.08 in furniture at Bob’s Discount Furniture. The victim, a 74-year-old Grantville woman, identified the fraudulent charge after reviewing her credit card statement. All charges were disputed through the victim’s credit card company, which resulted in the charges being withdrawn. No products were shipped. No monetary loss occurred to the victim. No suspects have been identified.

Harassment – At 7:30 p.m. July 3, police responded to Coon Creek Road for a report of a fight involving family members. The victims/arrestees were a 65-year-old Palmyra woman, a 64-year-old Palmyra man, a 37-year-old Grantville woman, and a 16-year-old Grantville female. Police are investigating.

Retail Theft – At 11:32 a.m. July 10, police responded to SR 934 North for retail theft. Video surveillance footage was available that showed the unknown suspects committing the act. Police are investigating.

Vehicle Accident, Stop Signs and Yield Signs – At 8:38 a.m. July 13, a crash occurred on SR 934 at its intersection with Jonestown Road. A 2020 Kenworth T680 driven by a 24-year-old Jackson, Mississippi, man was traveling west on Jonestown Road, nearing its intersection with SR 934. A 2018 Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 55-year-old Tower City woman was traveling south on SR 934, preparing to cross through the intersection. The Jackson man failed to stop at the stop sign, continued west, and was struck by the Chevrolet. The Kenworth sustained passenger’s side damage. The Chevrolet sustained damage to its front end and driver’s side. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. The Jackson man sustained no injuries. The Tower City woman sustained minor injuries, was treated on scene by medical personnel, and refused further treatment. The Jackson man drove the Kenworth from the scene. Motter’s Towing towed the Chevrolet from the scene. Life Lion Ambulance also assisted on the scene. Police cited the Jackson man with stop signs and yield signs.

Heidelberg Township

Hit-and-Run – At 4:59 p.m. June 29, a hit-and-run crash occurred on the 400 block of SR 501 South in a gravel parking lot. An unknown vehicle driven by an unknown actor hit a 2018 GMC Denali that was parked in the lot, which is used as a staging area for a construction company. The unknown vehicle then fled the scene.

Vehicle Accident – At 4:46 a.m. June 20, a crash occurred on SR 501, just south of its intersection with Cherry Road. A 1999 Ford Expedition driven by a 73-year-old Myerstown man was traveling south on SR 501. As the Ford approached the intersection, a horse entered the Ford’s travel lane. The Myerstown man was unable to brake in time, and the Ford struck the horse with its front bumper, sustaining front-end damage. RJ Sell’s Towing towed the Ford from the scene. The Myerstown man was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained no injuries.

Vehicle Accident, Following Too Closely – At 11:37 p.m. June 19, a crash occurred on West Main Street at its intersection with Schaeffer Road. A 2006 Toyota Scion TC driven by a 21-year-old Myerstown man rear-ended a vehicle at the stop sign. The vehicle that was rear-ended traveled north on SR 501 and did not stop. The Toyota sustained a flat tire and minor damage to its front bumper. The Myerstown man was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained no injuries. Police cited him with following too closely.

Vehicle Accident, Turning Movements and Required Signals – At 4:23 p.m. July 12, a crash occurred on SR 501 near East Reistville Road. A 2017 Lexus ES350 driven by a 77-year-old Reinholds woman was traveling south on SR 501 and made a left turn onto South Reistville Road without clearance. A 2013 Kia Soul driven by a 19-year-old Myerstown woman was traveling north on SR 501 when it hit the Lexus’s passenger’s side. The Lexus continued after the impact and hit the front end of a 2014 Audi A4 driven by an 18-year-old Ephrata man. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. The Reinhold’s woman and the Ephrata man sustained no injuries. The Myerstown woman sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported via Schaefferstown EMS to the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. Police cited the Reinhold’s woman with turning movements and required signals.

Retail Theft – At 7:38 p.m. July 5, police responded to SR 501 North. Police determined that the arrestee, an 18-year-old Newmanstown man, took two CR123 batteries, valued at $7.50 each, from Good’s Store in Schaefferstown. The arrestee concealed the items in his pockets and left the store without paying. Police located the arrestee and cited him with retail theft. The witness/victim was subpoenaed.

Jackson Township

Theft By Deception – Sometime between 12:12 a.m. June 24 and 8:48 a.m. June 25, an incident occurred on East Main Avenue. The victim was a 50-year-old Myerstown man. The stolen property included currency converted into digital currency, valued at $4,963.28.

Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At 12:03 p.m. June 25, a single-vehicle crash occurred as a 2008 Honda CRV driven by a 62-year-old Pine Grove man was traveling north on SR 501 (North College Street). The driver blacked out due to a suspected medical emergency and swerved off the road, struck a guide rail end, then spun clockwise and continued hitting the guide rail before stopping. The Pine Grove man was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained suspected minor injuries but refused transport. Police cited the him with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Theft Bad Checks – At 8 a.m. July 2, police responded to West McKinley Avenue for a report of a bad check. Police determined that the victim, a 65-year-old Myerstown woman, received a check for rent that was subsequently returned due to insufficient funds. The arrestee was a 48-year-old Jonestown woman. Police are investigating.

Theft of Motor Vehicle – Police responded to the 00 block of Lengle Road for a reported theft of an ATV. Sometime between 5 p.m. July 5 and 4 a.m. July 6, an unknown actor(s) stole a Honda TRX from the same location and fled in an unknown direction. The victim was a 38-year-old Myerstown man.

Dissemination Intimate Image – At 10:23 p.m. June 8, police responded to West Main Avenue and determined that an 11-year-old Myerstown female sent explicit photographs to an unknown actor. Police are investigating.

Harassment – At 12:56 a.m. June 26, police responded to West Lincoln Avenue for a rolling domestic. Police found the operator, a 32-year-old Reading man, to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and took him into custody. The victim was a 27-year-old Myerstown woman. Police are investigating.

Identity Theft – At 11:39 a.m. July 13, the victim, a 39-year-old Coplay man, contacted PSP Jonestown to report identity theft. The victim related that an unknown actor used a false ID in the victim’s name and cashed bank checks valued at $39,500 at a Truist Bank in Georgia on July 11. The bank refunded the money, leaving the victim with no financial loss. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194.

Theft Disposition of Funds – At approximately 1:14 p.m. July 12, police responded to the 300 block of South Ramona Road for a theft-related incident. Police determined that an unknown actor(s) obtained information for the victim’s cryptocurrency account, where the actor(s) stole $2,500 in Bitcoin. The victim was a 69-year-old Lebanon man. A suspect has not been identified. Police are investigating.

Jonestown Borough

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – At approximately 9:48 a.m. July 1, police responded to the 200 block of South Mill Street for a report of vandalism. Police determined that an unknown actor(s) vandalized the Jonestown Community Park men’s bathroom window, valued at $25. There was no surveillance footage or leads on potential suspects. Theft – Sometime between 12 a.m. Feb. 1 and 11:59 p.m. June 13, an incident occurred on the 300 block of West Swatara Drive where, in the commission of this crime, the victim legitimately applied for unemployment benefits in February 2022. Upon query of the application status at the beginning of June, the Department of Labor indicated that the benefits were already distributed. The victim, a 41-year-old Jonestown woman, reported that she was not receiving the benefits, that it was fraudulent, and completed an online fraud claim. Since the claim was filed, another $1,000 was distributed.

Millcreek Township

Vehicle Accident, Stop Signs and Yield Signs – At 6:04 p.m. June 18, a two-vehicle crash occurred on South Sheridan Road at East Bethany Road. A 2012 Honda CRV driven by a 25-year-old Sinking Spring man, accompanied by a 23-year-old Sinking Spring woman, was traveling west on East Bethany Road and failed to stop at a clearly posted stop sign, striking a 2018 Ford Expedition driven by a 35-year-old Newmanstown woman. The Ford then hit a utility pole and a fence before stopping. The Honda sustained disabling front-end damage. The Ford sustained disabling damage to the entire vehicle. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts. The Sinking Spring man sustained suspected minor injuries and was not transported. The Sinking Spring woman sustained no injuries. The Newmanstown woman sustained suspected minor injuries but refused transport. Police cited the Sinking Spring man with stop signs and yield signs.

Myerstown Borough

Death Natural – At 9:39 a.m. June 20, police responded to North Railroad Street for a reported death of a 53-year-old Myerstown woman. The death appeared to be from natural causes. Police observed no foul play or suspicious activity.

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – At 8:05 a.m. July 11, police responded to the 00 block of East Carpenter Avenue for a window smashed out of a vehicle. It was reported that an unknown actor(s) smashed the driver’s side window out of the victim’s 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier sometime between 10 p.m. July 10 and 7:30 a.m. July 11. No surveillance footage was available. There are no leads for this investigation. The victim was a 69-year-old Myerstown woman. Police determined that an unknown actor(s) punctured the right front tire, valued at $125, of the victim’s vehicle, a 2009 Jeep Patriot, sometime between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. July 3, while the vehicle was legally parked in the Washington Apartments parking lot. The victim was a 38-year-old Myerstown woman. There was no surveillance footage or leads on potential suspects. Police determined that an unknown actor(s) punctured all four tires, valued at $125, of the victim’s vehicle, a 2015 Dodge Caliber, while it was legally parked in the Washington Apartments parking lot. The victim was a 36-year-old Myerstown woman. There was no surveillance footage or leads on potential suspects. Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – At approximately 8:37 a.m. July 5, police responded to the 200 block of West Washington Avenue for a report of criminal mischief. Police determined that an unknown actor(s) punctured the left front and rear tires of the victim’s rental vehicle, a 2021 Kia Forte, while it was legally parked in the Washington Apartments parking lot. The victim was a 35-year-old Myerstown woman. There was no surveillance footage or leads on potential suspects. Theft Disposition of Funds – At 5:55 p.m. June 18, police responded to the 100 block of South Court Street for a theft. The victim was a 47-year-old Myerstown woman. The stolen property included a total of $2,947.32 stolen from bank accounts. Police are investigating.

Firearm Not to Possess, Drug Possession, Flight to Avoid Apprehension – At 8:13 p.m. July 6, police responded to the 200 block of West Washington Avenue for a report of a verbal altercation. Police determined that the arrestee, Juan Aviles, 30, of Myerstown, and the complainant engaged in an argument prior to the complainant leaving the residence. Police determined Aviles had an active warrant for his arrest and was also reported to be in possession of a shotgun. Police made visual contact with Aviles, who fled on foot, heading north behind the residence towards SR 422. Police located Aviles in a parking lot on the 200 block of Garden Avenue and took him into custody. Police conducted a search incident to arrest and found Aviles to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Police returned to the residence and located a sawed-off shotgun loaded with four 12-gauge shotgun shells in the living room. A witness related that she observed Aviles possessed the shotgun prior to the argument. Police transported Aviles to LCCB on the active warrant. Police completed a criminal complaint and delivered it, charging Aviles with violating the firearm act, person prohibited to possess, possession of drug paraphernalia, and flight to avoid apprehension.

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – At 3:21 p.m. July 8, police responded to South Cherry Street for reported criminal mischief. Police discovered damage to a gold 2017 Ford Escape’s window. The victim was a 25-year-old Myerstown woman.

Drug Possession – At 9:43 a.m. June 22, police responded to West Washington Avenue. Police found the suspect was in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Police are investigating.

Theft of Motor Vehicle – Sometime between 9:50 and 11 p.m. June 21, police responded to South Railroad Street and determined that an unknown actor(s) stole the victims’ vehicles overnight. Police subsequently located the stolen vehicles, a maroon 1997 Honda Crosstour and a black 1996 Acura Integra. The victims were an 84-year-old Myerstown man and a 23-year-old Myerstown man. Police are investigating.

Disorderly Conduct – At 11:03 a.m. June 22, police responded to South Railroad Street and West Stoever Avenue, where a witness stated that the arrestee, a 29-year-old Myerstown man, was acting erratically outside his residence. The witness stated that the arrestee was yelling around his vehicle and slamming the doors of his vehicle, causing annoyance and alarm. Police cited the arrestee with disorderly conduct.

North Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – At 1:35 p.m. July 8, a crash occurred on Quentin and York streets. A 17-year-old Annville juvenile was traveling north on Quentin Road. A 65-year-old Myerstown woman was also traveling north on Quentin Road. The juvenile attempted to enter the shopping center and struck the passenger’s side of the Myerstown woman’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Hit-and-Run – At 1:48 p.m. July 9, a hit-and-run crash occurred at Lebanon Plaza. A 66-year-old Lebanon woman was parked in the lot when an unknown driver struck her driver’s side rear bumper. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was driven from the scene.

Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Simple Assault, Public Drunkenness – At 12:03 a.m. July 10, police responded to the 100 block of South 22nd Street for a reported altercation between a father and his juvenile son. Jose Justiniano-Mendez, 54, of Lebanon, was aggressive to the juvenile, who feared Justiniano-Mendez was becoming aggressive to his mother. Justiniano-Mendez chased both victims outside the residence, wielding a knife and threatening bodily harm. Police arrested Justiniano-Mendez for recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, and public drunkenness.

Vehicle Accident – At 7:51 a.m. July 10, a crash occurred on the 1700 block of Colebrook Road. A 21-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling in the north lane of Colebrook Road and thought an oncoming car was traveling towards her. As a result, she swerved too sharply, lost control of her vehicle, and struck an embankment. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Simple Assault – At 5:40 p.m. July 12, police responded to the 300 block of Quittaphilla Drive for a physical domestic. Police cited Alyssa White, 27, of Lebanon, with simple assault after she allegedly grabbed a knife and held it in a threatening manner at the victim and then punched the victim in the head, causing injury. Police transported White to LCCB.

Retail Theft – At 4 p.m. July 13 on the 100 block of Rocherty Road, police cited a 21-year-old Lebanon man with retail theft after he left Sheetz with a drink and COVID-19 tests and failed to pay for the items.

Vehicle Accident – At 8:13 a.m. July 14, a crash occurred on Royal Road and Forney Lane, where an 18-year-old Lebanon man lost control of his vehicle, which exited the road, damaged bushes, and struck a pine tree. No injuries were reported. The Lebanon man’s vehicle was towed.

Theft of Catalytic Converters – On July 14, police responded to the Lebanon County Conservation District-Agricultural Service Center on Cornwall Road for a report of stolen catalytic converters. Vehicle Accident – At 10:40 a.m. July 14, a crash occurred at the Cedar Crest Square shopping center. A vehicle driven by a 61-year-old Strasburg woman was traveling on the thruway at the intersection of Quentin Road, facing west. A vehicle driven by a 52-year-old Lebanon man rear-ended the Strasburg woman’s vehicle, which then rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old Bloomfield man. The Lebanon man’s vehicle sustained front-end damage and airbag deployment. The Strasburg woman’s vehicle sustained rear-end damage. The Bloomfield man’s vehicle sustained no visible damage. No injuries were reported, but the Strasburg woman denied EMS and was going to the hospital for an evaluation. The Lebanon man’s vehicle was towed from the scene. 

Vehicle Accident – At 3:13 p.m. July 14, a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by a 46-year-old Lebanon woman rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 38-year-old Newmanstown woman in the CVS parking lot in the Cedar Crest Square shopping center. No injuries were reported.

North Lebanon Township

Sexual Assault – Police are investigating a ChildLine report after a juvenile alleged he was sexually assaulted by a family member on Water Street approximately seven to eight years ago. The victim was a 6-year-old Richland male at the time. The investigation is ongoing.

Possession with Intent to Deliver, Fictitious Inspection Stickers – Police cited Chantz Wenzler, 25, of Lebanon, with possession with intent to deliver after they found him passed out with his vehicle still running on May 1 on the 1300 block of Sandhill Road. Police also cited Wenzler with possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered, possession of drug paraphernalia, fictitious inspection stickers, and expired inspection and registration.

Theft by Unlawful Taking – Police cited Nazareth Horn, 26, of Lebanon, with the theft of a catalytic converter on March 24 and March 27 on North 8th Avenue. Police also cited Horn with theft by unlawful taking and two counts of criminal mischief.

Theft by Unlawful Taking – Police cited Corey Bering, 50, of Lebanon, with the theft of a catalytic converter on March 24 and March 27 on North 8th Avenue. Police also cited Bering with theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief.

North Londonderry Township

Drug Possession, Driving a Vehicle Without Valid PA State or Emission Stickers – At 7:05 p.m. July 4, police stopped a vehicle driven by Humberto Cisneros, 20, of Ephrata, on the 500 block of South Lingle Avenue for not displaying any Pennsylvania state or emission stickers. During the stop, police detected an odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. Cisneros admitted to possessing marijuana. Police found Cisneros to be in possession of 10.6 grams of marijuana and cited him with possession of marijuana and driving a vehicle without valid PA state or emission stickers.

PFA Violation – At 12:42 a.m. July 8, police cited Willie Haslip, 58, of an unknown address, with a PFA violation after it was reported that he was staying at the victim’s residence on the 00 block of Lindbergh Drive and contacting her by phone.

Drug Possession – At 2:08 p.m. Feb. 19, police cited Nicki Krall, 43, of Lebanon, with possession of drug paraphernalia after they responded to the 700 block of South Forge Road for a suspicious person.

Underage Drinking – At 3:20 a.m. July 8, police cited a 19-year-old Palmyra woman with underage drinking after they came into contact with her on Blackberry Lane while investigating suspicious activity in the Arbor Green development.

Confinement of Dogs, Applications for Dog Licenses – At 4:58 p.m. July 8, police cited a 69-year-old Palmyra woman with confinement of dogs and applications for dog licenses after two of the woman’s dogs got loose from her property on the 00 block of Cottonwood Court and were running through the neighborhood. Neither of the dogs had licenses.

Vehicle Accident, Vehicles Turning Left – At 7:08 p.m. July 12, a crash occurred in the west travel lane of West Main Street at Apple Blossom Lane. Palmyra Fire responded to tend to fluid on the road. Police determined that a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old Annville woman turned in front of a vehicle driven by a 43-year-old Jonestown woman, causing the Jonestown woman to strike the Annville woman’s vehicle. Police cited the Annville woman for vehicles turning left. Zimmey’s Automotive towed the Annville woman’s vehicle from the scene.

False Identification to Law Enforcement, Driving While License was Under Suspension – At 11:52 p.m. July 1, police cited Anthony Scaturro Jr., 26, of Lebanon, for false identification to law enforcement for his involvement in an incident that occurred on the 1300 block of East Main Street. During the traffic stop, Scaturro provided a false ID. Police transported Scaturro to LCCB, where he was fingerprinted to confirm his identity. Police also cited Scaturro with driving while license was under suspension.

Indecent Exposure, Indecent Assault, Harassment – At 12 p.m. June 2, police cited a 16-year-old Palmyra male with indecent exposure, indecent assault, and harassment after an incident where he was accused of exposing himself and inappropriately touching a female student in a classroom at the Palmyra High School.

Palmyra Borough

Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Simple Assault – At approximately 10:51 a.m. July 7, police responded to the 400 block of West Main Street for an active domestic. Police determined that Alexis Kurtz, 23, attempted to stab the victim with a knife while physically striking the victim multiple times. While in custody, Kurtz repeatedly kicked a police officer. Police cited Kurtz with aggravated assault, aggravated assault – injury to a police officer, recklessly endangering another person, two counts of simple assault, and two counts of harassment. Police transported Kurtz to LCCB, where she was arraigned, and her bail was set at $50,000. 

Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving – At approximately 1:08 a.m. July 3, police responded to the 800 block of West Maple Street for a disturbance. Police identified the cause of the disturbance as Zachary Mansberger, 25, who had an active warrant at the time and fled the scene at the sight of the police. Mansberger fled in his vehicle at a high rate of speed, ignoring police lights and sirens and driving straight through stop signs and red lights, police said. Police cited Mansberger with fleeing or attempting to elude police, reckless driving, careless driving, driving vehicle at safe speeds, duties at stop signs, and traffic control signals.  

Richland Borough

Confinement of Dog/Premises – At 1:42 p.m. July 10, police responded to Chestnut Street for a dog law violation. A 29-year-old Richland man was cited with confinement of dog/premises. The victim was a 42-year-old Richland woman.

Indecent Assault – Sometime on May 14 or 15, this incident occurred on East Main Street. Police received a ChildLine report for a sexual assault on a 4-year-old Jonestown female by a family member. The investigation is ongoing.

Vehicle Accident, Accidents Involving Damage to an Unattended Vehicle or Property – At 4:32 p.m. July 11, a crash occurred on South Park Street near Church Street. A 2012 Toyota Sienna driven by a 19-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling north on South Park Street. An unoccupied 2017 Ford Escape was legally parked on the right side of South Park Street when the Toyota struck the Ford’s driver’s side mirror, then fled the scene. The Ford sustained minor damage to the mirror. The Lebanon woman and the Toyota were identified through the police investigation. Police cited her for accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle or property.

South Lebanon Township

Sexual Assault – At 8:50 a.m. June 17, police received a ChildLine report of suspected abuse and neglect on Cedar Court. The victim was a 6-year-old female. The investigation is ongoing.

Harassment – At 10 p.m. June 3, staff discovered an inmate unresponsive at the LCCF on East Walnut Street. As LCCF staff administered care, the inmate became alert and began flailing his arms and striking staff. The victim was a 28-year-old Lancaster woman. The investigation is ongoing.

South Londonderry Township

Theft of Narcotics – On July 8, police cited Toni Diller, 37, of Harrisburg, for possession of a controlled substance by fraud/deception, theft by unlawful taking, and possession of a controlled substance related to a theft that occurred at Kadima, 2880 Horseshoe Pike, on April 29. Diller is accused of taking 42 oxycodone pills from the facility.

DUI, Careless Driving – At approximately 9:48 p.m. April 1, police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Zachary Cuppy, 25, of Hershey, on Horseshoe Pike at Lincoln Street. Police determined that Cuppy had driven over a curb while entering SR 322. Cuppy appeared to be impaired. Cuppy’s blood results showed that he had a .211% BAC at the time of the incident. Police cited Cuppy with driving while under the influence of alcohol and careless driving.

Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed, Restraint Systems – At 9:50 p.m. July 9, a two-vehicle crash occurred on Horseshoe Pike at South Forge Road. A vehicle driven by a 47-year-old Marietta woman, accompanied by a 17-year-old Marietta female and a 16-year-old Marietta female, was traveling east on Horseshoe Pike. A vehicle driven by a 28-year-old Lebanon man was stopped in the east lane of Horseshoe Pike when he was rear-ended by the Marietta woman’s vehicle. The Marietta woman’s vehicle was towed from the scene due to airbag deployment. One of the passengers in the Marietta woman’s vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, sustained minor injuries, and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. Police cited the Marietta woman for driving vehicle at safe speed and restraint systems.

Swatara Township

Harassment – At 3:29 p.m. June 9, police began investigating the report of suspected physical abuse of a 15-year-old Jonestown female by an adult on Spruce Lane.

Vehicle Accident, Vehicle Entering or Crossing Roadway, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed – At 6:36 a.m. June 20, a crash occurred on the 100 block of Lickdale Road. A 2008 Ford F-150XLT driven by a 48-year-old Jonestown man was merging from a driveway and a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro driven by a 23-year-old Jonestown man, accompanied by a 22-year-old Myerstown woman, was traveling east on Lickdale Road. The Ford merged from the driveway without proper clearance and was struck by the Chevrolet. The Chevrolet veered to the right and ran over multiple rows of hedges, front yards, a stone wall, and then a utility pole before coming to final rest. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. The 48-year-old Jonestown man and the 22-year-old Myerstown woman reported no injuries. The 23-year-old Jonestown man sustained suspected minor injuries but was not transported. Police cited the 48-year-old Jonestown man with vehicle entering or crossing roadway. Police also cited the 23-year-old Jonestown man with driving at safe speed.

Drug Possession – At 10:25 a.m. July 7, police responded to Quarry Road. Lebanon County Adult Probation conducted a home visit and located drugs and drug paraphernalia on the scene. Police are investigating.

Criminal Trespass Defiant – At 11:39 a.m. July 9, police responded to White Birch Lane and determined that the suspect trespassed onto the victim’s property. The victim was a 60-year-old McLean, Virginia, woman. Police are investigating.

Union Township

Drug Possession – At 11 a.m. July 11, police responded to Old Forge Road for a found controlled substance. The arrestee was a 32-year-old Reading man. The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.

Vehicle Accident, Vehicle Turning Left – At 6:23 p.m. June 24, a crash occurred as a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 76-year-old Williamstown man was in the left turn lane on Fisher Avenue at its intersection with SR 72. A 2013 Kia Sorento driven by a 46-year-old Lebanon man, accompanied by a 45-year-old Richland man, was traveling west on Lickdale Road, crossing through its intersection with SR 72 to proceed onto Fisher Avenue. Both vehicles were facing a steady green light. The Chevrolet turned without proper clearance, striking the driver’s side of the Kia. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and sustained suspected minor injuries but refused transport. Northern Lebanon Fire and Emergency Services and Life Lion EMS also assisted on the scene. Police cited the Williamstown man with vehicle turning left.

West Lebanon Township

DUI – At 2:09 a.m. July 10, police stopped a 2002 Hyundai Accent driven by a 39-year-old Lebanon man at North 23rd and Lehman streets for several traffic violations. Police determined that the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Charges are pending blood test results.
