Charlotte (Lottie) Alice Wolfe, age 90, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2021, at Country Meadows Retirement Community in Hershey, PA, where she had resided for the past seven months.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wolfe, of Palmyra, PA in 2007, her parents James Harvey Stanton (1966) and Martha Cross Stanton (1986) and her siblings, Charles (Bill) Stanton (1977), Laura Stanton Preston (1992), James Stanton (2001), Clarence Stanton (2006), Harriet Stanton Jolley (2019).

Lottie is survived by her three children: Glenn D. Wolfe (wife Sue Stephens Wolfe) of Middletown, DE, Eleanor (Kay) Gerber (husband Daryl) of Palmyra, PA, and Douglas W. Wolfe (wife Marta Hawthorne Wolfe) of St. Louis, MO. Lottie is also survived by six grandchildren: Erin Wolfe Schiffman of New York, NY, Stephen D. Wolfe of Syracuse, NY, Roby Arnold of Louisburg, MO, Marsha Arnold Bates of Palmyra, PA, Graham H. Wolfe of St. Louis, MO, and Duncan L. Wolfe of Los Angeles, CA, as well as 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Lottie is also survived by her brother John (Jack) Stanton of Clayton, DE, and her sister Martha Stanton Marks of Cedar Point, NC.

Lottie grew up helping on her parents’ farm on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She graduated from Elkton, MD High School in 1949 where she played field hockey, softball, and basketball. Lottie attended nursing school in Wilmington DE before marrying and moving to Pennsylvania. She worked tirelessly in numerous family businesses, including The Filling Station restaurant and Lottie’s Laundry, on W Main St. in Palmyra

Upon retirement, Lottie and Don traveled around the country in their RV to visit friends and family. They settled in Port Charlotte, FL, and later moved to Lenoir City, TN. In 2012, Lottie returned to Palmyra to be closer to family and spend more time with her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gospel music and regularly attended hymn sings. She was a longtime member of Brethren in Christ Church, Palmyra. While in Florida she worshiped at Community Life Center in Port Charlotte, FL, and in Tennessee at Maranatha Church of The Harvest, Lenoir City.

Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., and funeral services at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 12th at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
