Dale E. Long, 57, of Annville passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kristen L. Boeshore, with whom he celebrated 26 years in marriage.

Dale was born in Hershey on July 31, 1964, to the late Paul R. and Jane (Brandt) Long.

He was a 1982 graduate of Annville-Cleona High School and a 1984 graduate of Automotive Training Center. Dale worked at BlueScope Manufacturing since 2007. In his younger days, Dale was an expert mechanic and was well-known for being able to fix anything. He was also an incredibly kind and caring man, willing to help anyone in any way he could. He would gladly give a hand to friends, family members, neighbors, and even complete strangers at the side of the road. If you knew Dale, he probably fixed something for you.

Dale married Kristen on October 14, 1995, after a long ten-year courtship, and they enjoyed a total of nearly 37 years together as a couple. For nearly three years of that time, he drove six hours one way to visit her every other weekend. Dale was a fiercely loyal family man, a loving husband, father, son, and brother. Together Dale and Kristen raised two treasured children, daughter Emily Catherine, and son Eric. Although not one to brag, Dale was incredibly proud of them. He selflessly took care of his dad and his beloved mom in their golden years.

Surviving in addition to his wife and his children are sister Audrey Bella (Stephen), sister-in-law Ghayda Ali, four nephews, two nieces, and his sweet dog Brownie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce R. Long. Dale will be missed by many, but he would want you to remember him with a smile and some good stories.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, and a public celebration in his memory will be held at a later date.

Please omit flowers. In place of flowers, Kristen is requesting donations be made to Emily and Eric’s undergraduate and graduate education funds. Please make checks payable to Kristen Boeshore, memo line: children’s education fund. Those desiring can send donations to Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main Street, Annville. The funeral home will then forward it to the family.
