DorlaDean “Dolly” Courter Etzweiler-Walker, 85, of Trout Run, PA, formerly of South Hill Drive, Annville, PA, passed from this life to be with her Heavenly Father, the Lord and Savior on March 19, 2022, peacefully in her niece/daughter’s arms.

She was born on June 15, 1936, the daughter of the late George and Mary Elizabeth (Baker) Courter.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband Gene Etzweiler of 49 years and by her second husband of 3 years Robert Walker. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by 3 brothers; James, Richard (Dick), and Walter Courter; 2 great-nieces and a great-great-nephew.

Dolly grew up in Sugar Valley and Williamsport with family in Salona and Lock Haven. Dolly earned her LPN at LH Hospital and moved to Lebanon where she worked for a doctor’s office. While in Annville, she volunteered in nursing homes, gift shops and worked at Slender You. She was very active with bowling, tennis, golf, traveling, walking, and cross country skiing. She loved gatherings, hugs, The Lord and First Baptist Church in Lebanon. Dolly also liked game night and cards with the girls, bible study, and most of all enjoyed singing.

Surviving are sister Melva Ann Schon (Arthur) of Cogan Station; 16 nieces and nephews; 27 great-nieces and nephews; 27 great-great-nieces and nephews.

Niece Tina Paulhamus-Myers was like a daughter to her, whom she lived during her final 4 years in Trout Run, PA. Tommy Myers (Amber) was a grandson to her and he called her “nana”. Husdon and Benton Myers called her “great nana”. A special thanks to friends Lindy Bennetch, Rich & Steph Youtz, and the church family. Most of all, thank you to family and friends that helped when needed, Ronald Paulhamus (Sondra), and others. Thank you so much! In God we trust, thank you to the doctors and nurses and aides with hospice and Dr. Timko’s office.

Viewing will be on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 20 Linden Road, Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, following the service.
