John L. Hotzman, Sr., 91, of Myerstown, died Friday, November 5, 2021, at his residence, surrounded by loving family.

He was the widower of Patricia A. (Hower) Hotzman, who died in 2003 and Betty J. (Miller) Hotzman who died in 2015. Born in Reading, PA on January 17, 1930, he was a son of the late John and Florence M (Mervine) Hotzman. He was a graduate of Reading High School. Mr. Hotzman served proudly, as a Sergeant, in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. John retired in 2001, from Yale Electric, Lebanon, after 45 years. He was a member of the Marine Corps League, Lebanon, and loved doing yard work, puzzles and especially loved being with his family.

John is survived by daughters, Tina, wife of Peter Angstadt and Sally Miller; sons, Malcolm Hotzman, husband of Charlotte, William Lowrie Hotzman, husband of Debby and John L. Hotzman, Jr.; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren; brother Donald Hotzman, husband of Nancy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Hower, and a sister Betty Beakley.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13th at St. Johns Church Cemetery, in Mt. Aetna. There will be a celebration of life at the Lions Club building in Mt. Aetna, following the service(3:00 to 6:00 p.m.). Grose Funeral Home, Inc. Myerstown has been entrusted with his arrangements.
