Peter P. Czuday, 80, of Hershey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2020, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Conewago Township. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Born Friday, September 15, 1939, in Berlin, Germany, he was the son of the late Viktor and Elsbeth (Kutzbach) Czudaj. Peter graduated from the Technical University of Belin with a Master’s Degree of Engineering, prior to attending Carroll College, on a Rotarian Scholarship, where he met his bride. He was married to Donna L. (Fagley) Czuday on August 26, 1967 and celebrated 53 wonderful years together.

Peter worked as an electrical engineer at Hershey Foods for over 25 years. He loved to travel, with his wife, and his whole family, and he has been to every state except for Alaska. Peter traveled throughout Europe, Central America, South America, New Zealand, Africa, and Australia. The Galapagos Islands, Machu Picchu, Australia, Africa, and Norway were some of his favorite trips. Peter was an avid model train enthusiast and spent many hours sharing this hobby with his grandchildren. He loved to build, renovate, and remodel; completing countless projects in his own home as well as for both of his children. Additionally, Peter served on the Conewago Planning Commission for 29 years.

In addition to his wife of 53 years, Peter is survived by his two children: Lynette S. Fink, married to Joseph, of Marietta and Bradley P. Czuday, married to Tara, of Palmyra. Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren, Madison and Owen, who brought him so much joy and love, as well as Peter’s extended family and caring friends.

Peter was always a man of honesty, loyalty, and courage. He needed this courage the most during his recent fight with cancer. Peter was extremely proud of his children, his grandchildren, and the wonderful marriage he shared with his wife.

A Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held at the convenience of the family.  Private interment will take place in Hershey Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA  17078, 717-838-9211.
