Philip E. Ocker, Sr., 71, of Myerstown, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at his home. He was the husband of Judy A. Smith Ocker. On May 29th, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Born in Shippensburg on November 2, 1949, he was the son of Emma J. Fogelsanger Ocker of Shippensburg and the late Paul E. Ocker. Phil’s joys in life included all things farming, antiques, getting the deal of the day at an auction, and most recently big rigs. He also loved talking on the phone and spending time with his family, especially if they fed him.

In addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by his sons Philip E. Ocker, Jr. and Eric P. husband of Pamela K. Ocker; daughter Melissa J. wife of Joseph C. Hertel; grandchildren Gage and Alex, Chase, Rowan, and Macy. He was preceded in death by his son Jarrod “Willie.” He is also survived by three sisters and one brother, and one late brother.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 and Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Covenant/Greenwood Cemetery, Lebanon.
