Phillip D. “Phil” Snell, 71, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, at his residence. He was the husband of Alice C. (McGovern) Snell, with whom he celebrated 48 years in marriage.

Phil was born in Chester on June 13, 1949, to the late Clifford and Ella (Carey) Snell. He had retired as an engineer tech from Blue Scope Steel. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, where he was involved with Appalachia Service Project mission trips and was very involved with the church choir. He was also a Merchant Marine. He enjoyed working in the press room at the Giant Center and watching The Hershey Bears. He was a woodworker and bowled with different leagues, including a church bowling league. He loved visiting the shore.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a daughter, Joye (Snell), and her husband, James Sipe, of Seven Valleys, PA, two step-grandchildren, William and Kathryn, and his brothers, Clifford “Ed” Snell, of Texas, and Daniel Snell, and his wife, Toni, of Aston, PA.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. from Church of the Good Shepherd, 1500 Quentin Rd., Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to his church, Church of the Good Shepherd, for the Appalachia Service Project.
