Roger L. Sutton, 83, of Myerstown, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at his home. He was the husband of the late Joanne F. “Topsy” Collins Sutton.

Born in Lebanon on June 6, 1939, he was the son of the late Harvey and Mildred Albert Sutton.

Roger was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Cornwall-Lebanon School District, where he had worked as a custodian. Prior to that, he had worked for Raymark Industries in Manheim. He was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist in W. Lebanon. Roger was a social member of the Liberty Fire Co., the VFW Post 23, Jonestown American Legion, R. Field & Stream, the Orioles, the former Moose Lodge in Lebanon, and the Lebanon Maennerchor Club. He enjoyed trains, scratching off his lottery tickets, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sons Gary Sutton and Ronald husband of Georgette Sutton, all of Jonestown; daughters Wendy Sutton of Myerstown and Kelli, wife of Sean Koehler of Schaefferstown; brother David Sutton of Myerstown; and his grandchildren Samantha, Kayla, and Lyndsey.

He was preceded in death by his son Randy Sutton; brothers Albert, Harvey, Kenneth, and Robert Sutton; and sisters Sara Rothermel, Janet Clair, Frances Emrich, and Nancy Sutton.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will be at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
